Nina du Musher has been confirmed pregnant! Puppies due in early May.
1st Litter:
Well, it’s time to officially announce the first breeding of Nina (Nina du Musher). I bred her to 2 different male working line Tervueren.
A Litter: Sired by Sprite-Fanfare’s Larger than Life, IPO3 (Ikon)
Ikon is a moderate dog in every sense of the word. He is a medium-sized, conformationally correct male with a well-balanced, stable and social temperament. He combines excellent drive, not excessive in any way with really lovely handler focus and biddability. He’s titled in both IPO and AKC Obedience and will likely be earning more titles in AKC Obedience before he is done.
He has sired 1 previous litter, out of Jaz de la Vallee des Suessiones, with puppies currently about 6 months old. These puppies are developing very nicely with bold, outgoing temperaments.
Puppies from this breeding are intended to be rock solid all-around sport dogs. They might not end up being world-level competitors in protection sports, but who knows, maybe if the right puppy buyer/handler comes along.
Expected Litter COI, based on Embark DNA Testing: 9%
Line breeding on:
- ChT/R, RE Ut Lewis, FR3 Finalist (4 x 5,5,5)
- ChT/R, Nimba des Loups du Makenzie, FR3 Finalist (5 x 5)
New Lines Introduced:
- Ours du Musher, FR3 Finalist, MR3 Finalist
B Litter: Sired by Weres Deabei (Atlas)
Atlas is a younger male. He is a smaller, relatively correct male with a well-balanced, stable and social temperament. He combines excellent drive, not excessive in any way with really lovely handler focus and biddability. He is extremely clear in his work and combines 2 of my favorite “Musher” attributes – fast and kind. He is actively training in MondioRing and French Ring and shows every evidence of being able to title in both sports.
He has sired 2 previous litters. The oldest of these has gone into primarily active working and/or PSA homes. The puppies are developing nicely and attracting attention at club training.
Puppies from this breeding are intended to be rock solid all-around dog. They might be slightly higher energy than Ikon puppies, but it’s hard to know for sure. I have only met Atlas as an adult dog, so am not sure what is genetics vs. nurture. However, I expect all puppies to very clear-headed and biddable.
Expected Litter COI, based on Embark DNA Testing: 13%
